Greater Worcester Community Foundation (GWCF) - Youth for Community Improvement (YCI)
Grants of up to $4,000 to Massachusetts nonprofit organizations in the Greater Worcester County region for youth-led projects that positively impact the local community. Funding is intended to support programs in the areas of academic enrichment, basic needs, and space beautification.
Youth for Community Improvement (YCI), an advisory committee of the Greater Worcester Community Foundation comprised of area high school students, requests proposals from Worcester County nonprofit organizations.
Proposals must speak to “youth voice” to be considered. Youth voice means that there is opportunity for young people to have a stake in the program beyond being participants. Examples include a program created and/or led by young people, a youth board seat, a process where youth are asked for input, established leadership roles, external roles for young people or you can speak to how young people have a demonstrated and articulated impact on their community.
