Grants to Massachusetts nonprofit organizations and government agencies for programs that enhance the quality of life for local youth in eligible regions. Priority is given to initiatives that benefit underserved, low-income, or at-risk youth. Proposed activities should be inclusive and represent the diversity within the Brookline community.

 Examples of the types of youth-related activities that may be considered for funding include:

  • Programs that fill programmatic gaps, particularly for middle school aged youth and youth from low-income families
  • Programs that develop youth leadership and/or create job and internship opportunities
  • Programs focusing on arts and culture, environmental education, or health and fitness
  • Programs that support early childhood education
  • Programs that help ensure the basic needs of Brookline’s youth are being met

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Grants shall be made to or through tax-exempt organizations that meet the requirements of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service Code, as well as to governmental bodies and agencies serving the town of Brookline, Massachusetts. If an organization or project is new and not yet tax-exempt, an application may be submitted through an organization that has agreed to serve as a fiscal sponsor.

Organizations that are currently funded through other funding streams of the Brookline Community Foundation are eligible to apply. If you have any questions please contact the Program Director.

The Brookline Community Foundation does not provide grants for:
-Individuals, including individual scholarships
