Grants of up to $3,000 to Connecticut, Massachusetts, and New York nonprofit organizations and public agencies in eligible areas to preserve and encourage community-based agricultural ventures. Funding is intended for both new and ongoing projects. Eligible regions include northwest Litchfield County, Connecticut; Columbia and northeast Dutchess counties, New York; and Berkshire County in Massachusetts.
The fund’s mission is to preserve and encourage small, community-based agricultural ventures which might include, but are not limited to: community-supported agriculture; local farmers’ markets; urban garden programs; agricultural scholarships; cooperative programming; internships; grantwriting; and marketing.
All applications will be reviewed according to the following criteria:

No project will be funded for more than 3 consecutive years.
