Grants of up to $2,500 to Massachusetts government agencies to equip vehicles used by first responders and emergency medical services. Funding is intended to help local municipalities maintain and improve emergency response services. Grants may be used to reimburse municipalities for the purchase cost of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) for Public Safety and First Responder Vehicles.
Applicants may request one AED package (including 1 set of adult and pediatric pads, 1 battery pack, carrying case, and initial warranty). Funds are available for use in active police and fire vehicles that do not already have an AED or are in need of a replacement AED.
