The is an all-volunteer non-profit working to strengthen our coastal environment by restoring native shellfish populations to our beaches and coastal estuaries. Through cultivation, shell recycling, education and advocacy we can improve water quality, increase the diversity of sea life and mitigate the effects of climate change.

The objects and purposes for the corporation as formed are as follows: The corporation is formed to ensure the protection and humane treatment of feral and abandoned in St. Croix, as well as to; To form a TNVR program (trap, neuter, vaccinate and return) for feral to help reduce the overpopulation on the island; To work with other groups on the island toward educating the public about the value of the lives of all animals; To educate people how to properly manage a feral cat colony; To foster kittens and friendly ferals/strays in order to find them permanent homes through adoption.

Animal Rescue

BGB" IS ORGANIZED AND OPERATED EXCLUSIVELY FOR CHARITABLE PURPOSES. THE ACTIVITIES OF BGB ARE DESIGNED TO RAISE FUNDS TO ASSIST AND ENHANCE THE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR UNDERPRIVILEDGED CHILDREN AND FAMILIES IN AND AROUND THE COMMUNITY. BGB HAS ONE MAJOR FUNDRAISING EVENT ANNUALLY. THE FOUNDATION OPERATES A THREE DAY SPORT FISHING TOURNAMENT IN AUGUST HELD ON THE ISLAND OF NANTUCKET, MASSACHUSETTS. THE TOURNAMENT ATTRACTS SPONSORS AND DONORS WHO CONTRIBUTE FUNDS, SERVICES AND GOODS. IN ADDITION TO ENTRY FEES COLLECTED BY BGB, THE ORGANIZATION COLLECTS DONATIONS FROM THE SILENT AUCTION AND RAFFLE. ALSO, DONATIONS MADE OUT DIRECTLY TO THE PARTICULAR CHARITY ARE COLLECTED AT THE TIME OF THE EVENT. BGB THEN MAKES THE DONATION TO THE SELECTED CHARITY.

THE MISSION THE ORGANIZATION IS TO PROMOTE THE BREEDING, TRAINING, RACING AND EXHIBITION PIGEONS, TO INSTRUCT AND ASSIST NOVICES, TO ORGANIZE DISTRICTS OR CLUBS, AND IMPART INFORMATION TO PROMOTE THE SPORT; PERFECTING THROUGH ORGANIZATION A CLOSER ASSOCIATION PIGEON FANCIERS FOR THEIR PROTECTION AND FOR THE DEVELOPMENT GOOD FELLOWSHIP THROUGHOUT THE GLOBE AMONG THEM. FURTHERMORE, THIS ORGANIZATION IS DEDICATED TO THE HUMANE TREATMENT THE ANIMALS AROUND WHICH WE HAVE FORMED A COMMON BOND.

THE ORGANIZATION WAS FORMED OVER 75 YEARS AGO TO FOSTER TO THOSE IN THE COMMUNITY WHO ENJOYED THE SPORT OF FISHING, ARCHERY HUNTING. MEMBERS ORGANIZED YOUTH ACTIVITIES AS WELL AS THESE SPORTING FIELDS HELPING YOUNGSTERS LEARN ENJOY THE OUTDOOR SPORTING ACTIVITIES. MEMBERS ALSO LEARN HOW TO HANDLE FIREARMS SAFELY AS WELL AS PROVIDE OPPORTUNITIES TO IMPROVE THEIR SKILLS IN THESE FIELDS.

To provide community awareness and participation with goal assisting Town with protecting and promoting health, comfort and safety animals in care . To assist in locating safe, loving homes for animals. To promote awareness needs as well as importance and availability spay and neuter services.

SOCIAL - TO PROVIDE FOR FRIENDLY RELATIONS, SOCIAL WELFARE INTERESTS TO ITS MEMBERS, THEIR FRIENDS GUESTS; TO PROMOTE INTEREST IN HUNTING, FISHING THEIR RELATED ACTIVITIES; TO RECOGNIZE SUPPORT PRACTICAL LEGISLATION CONCERNING THE PROPAGATION PROTECTION OF FISH GAME WITHIN THE COMMONWEALTH.

THE ORGANIZATION SUPPORTS A FOSTER CARE NETWORK AND PROVIDES DONATIONS AND OTHER SUPPORT TO FOSTERING AND ADOPTION PROGRAMS AND ANIMAL CONTROL OFFICERS IN VARIOUS TOWNS IN THE RESCUE OF ANIMALS, SUBSIDIZATION OF SPAY/NEUTERING PROGRAMS AND THE TRANSITION OF ANIMALS TO LIMITED ADMISSION SHELTERS.

PROVIDES SCHOLARSHIPS TO STUDENTS CONCENTRATING ON HORTICULTURE, CONSERVATION ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCES, AGRICULTURE, ARBORICULTURE, LANDSCAPE DESIGN, ANIMAL SCIENCE, WILDLIFE BIOLOGY, OCEANOGRAPHY OTHER RELATED FIELDS.
