Grants to Massachusetts nonprofit organizations to benefit underserved residents in eligible locations. Areas of focus include education, health care programs, and human services. Requests are encouraged for general operating or program support. Small, program-related capital expenses may be included in general operating or program requests. Special consideration is given to charitable organizations that serve the people of Southbridge and its surrounding communities.
Applicants must be classified by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) as a 501(c)(3) public charity.
Pre-Application Information
The application deadline for the George W. Wells Foundation is June 1. Applicants will be notified of grant decisions by October 31.
Please submit online applications by 11:59 p.m. on the day of the foundation’s deadline date. If the deadline falls on a weekend or a federally recognized holiday, applications are due on the next business day by 11:59 p.m.
