Jewish Women's Foundation (JWF) of Metropolitan Chicago

Grants to USA, Canada, and International nonprofit organizations for programs that enhance the lives and status of Jewish women and girls. Certain applicants must submit a letter of intent prior to applying. Focus areas include education and leadership development, health and well-being, economic security, and legal reform for girls and women.
JWF Chicago funds in three main areas. Prospective grantees are invited to submit project and program proposals that relate to these targeted areas:

Starting in the 2021 grants cycle, JWF Chicago will offer three grant opportunities:

There is no predetermined number of Annual or Innovative Grants. JWF Chicago will award up to three Multiyear Grants per grant cycle.
- Annual Grants: The minimum award is $10,000. There is no maximum grant amount.
- Innovation Grants can be awarded at any amount. There is no minimum or maximum Innovation Grant amount.
- Multiyear Grants: JWF Chicago will award up to $20,000 per grant in Year 1, up to $20,000 per grant in Year 2, and up to $10,000 per grant in Year 3. Funding in Year 2 and Year 3 will be contingent on applicant’s progress towards stated benchmarks.
- Annual Grants: JWF Chicago considers organizations for funding on a year-to-year basis. Previous funding does not guarantee continued funding. A program or project may be funded for up to five consecutive years, followed by at least one year off from funding.
- Innovation Grants: JWF Chicago considers organizations for funding on a year-to-year basis. When applicable, previous funding of an organization does not guarantee funding for an Innovation Grant. Startup organizations are eligible to receive an Innovation Grant for up to two consecutive grant cycles and then may segue to the general JWF Chicago application process for a total of five years of consecutive funding, the current limit for JWF Chicago grantees.
- Multiyear Grants are three-year grants.
